Virgo (Aug 23 – Sep 22) Week of July 6, 2009

A square brightly lighted on one side.

Focus on your innocence. Let your love light shine and then know when not to do anything at all. Life has a light side and a dark side. The issues are about structure and your eagerness to provide. Your serious side keeps you from frolicking off into the future, yet you have a real attraction brewing for some fun and good influence. Surrender to what is happening. You have doubts about your original premises. Move towards what makes you happy. Goethe once said, “Fresh activity is the only means of overcoming adversity.”

Virgo (Aug 23 – Sep 22) Week of June 29, 2009

A glass-bottomed boat reveals under-sea wonders.

Focus on being moderate. What is developing for you is wondrous but without discipline it can sink your boat. There won’t be anybody to blame but yourself. Any bold moves  should be made with confidence, assurance and quick decisive action. The issue is about rights. You may have to lean into your intuition to get a glimpse. It may be hard to get excited, but that doesn’t mean that you will be deterred from your goal. Slowly you are moving towards something more meaningful and awe-inspiring. Following the more traditional route will create a safe position for you.   Charles Dickens once said, “All of us have wonders hidden in our breasts, only needing circumstances to evoke them.”

Virgo (Aug 23 – Sep 22) Week of May 25, 2009

A widow’s past is brought to light.

Focus on adapting. Reevaluate what you are doing. What are your standards? What are you willing to sacrifice? The issue is loneliness. This is not your most confident time of the year. It happens when the Sun moves into Gemini. You get kind of shy and more introspective. You may have all kinds of people around you, but still your emotions are more directed towards all the different facets of your life. You have the most fascinating stories to tell and are an inspiration and great leader to many. Insist on the best out of life and have acceptance for your choices. Also, know that contradictions happen and the best response is gentle. Helen Rowland once said, “A widow is a fascinating being with the flavor of maturity, the spice of experience, the piquancy of novelty, the tang of practiced coquetry, and the halo of one man’s approval.”

Virgo (Aug 23 – Sep 22) Week of May 18, 2009

A communist activist spreading his revolutionary ideals.

Focus on small movement. Don’t profess anything big, but make your mark by having a constant loyalty to what you feel is right. The issue comes from a lack of initiation. You work together everyday with your community. What you believe to be true is struggling to change. If you push too hard your influence will not be felt. Consider consequences before you put a lot of energy into a project. It is a good time to evaluate and ask questions. Buddha once said, “An idea that is developed and put into action is more important than an idea that exists only as an idea.”

Virgo (Aug 23 – Sep 22) Week of May 10, 2009

A student of nature lecturing revealing little-known aspects of life.

Focus on the cycles in your life.  What are you repeating?  It is true you have had your change of mind here and there.  Its not working very well.  Life’s little lesson has already started and you’ve missed the first couple of chapters by dilly dallying.  The issue has to do with a lack of boundaries.  You are eager to get out there and learn something new.  You’ve taught all you can and frankly nobody is listening anymore.  Do you care?  Nope.  It gives you a chuckle.  Your life is getting more graceful by the moment.   Jacques Cousteau once said, “The happiness of the bee and the dolphin is to exist.  For man it is to know that and to wonder at it.”

Virgo (Aug 23 – Sep 22) Week of March 23, 2009

A communist activist spreading his revolutionary ideals.

It will be a good idea to focus on conduct this week. You may feel confident that your ideas will bring you what you wish, but you are not focused on the real healing message. The issue is about wasting time on something that you don’t have the energy for from the start. Don’t throw yourself away. You have a chance for accomplishment no matter how hard it gets. Practice some restraint. Ross Perot once said, “The activist is not the man who says the river is dirty. The activist is the man who cleans up the river.”

Virgo (Aug 23 – Sep 2) Week of March 16, 2009

A fellowship supper reunites old comrades.

Your best bet is to reach out to those you think are slipping away. If you feel as if you are unworthy or alienated.. you can stop all that and revise your opinions. The issue is your power of attraction. You’re a hottie right now and you want to play, but you don’t know where to aim. Forget all the plans of the way everything is supposed to go. It is good to have people in your life. It is good to be in other people’s lives. Joshua Loth Liebman once said, “The primary joy of life is acceptance, approval, the sense of appreciation and companionship of our human comrades. Many men do not understand that the need for fellowship is really as deep as the need for food, and so they go through life accepting many substitutes for genuine, warm, simple.”

Virgo (Aug 23 – Sep 22)

A bald-headed man who has seized power.

Your best bet is to pull back. Watch what it takes to get ahead. The issue has to do wasting your energy. You don’t really know what your doing anyway. Your slightly awkward this week and not sure if there is a channel for what you have to give. Keeping your mouth shut is good for you in many ways this week. Let Mercury get up and running fully, then you’ll have more to say. Even after the planet turns direct it takes a few days to shake the daze.  Every life has its ups and every life has its downs. Spend this week revitalizing. Paula Scalingi pointed out, “Communications were one of the first things to go. What was discovered is that if you have a prolonged power outage that goes on for several hours, your infrastructure starts to degrade. Power backup only lasts so long.”

Virgo (Aug 23 – Sep 22) Week of Jan. 19, 2009

Two guardian angels bringing protection.

The issue for this week pertains to a lack of cooperation. You want to have people around you. The Virgo period of contemplation is over and you want to talk. You feel troubled. Your concerns have haunted your dreams, both night and day. Isn’t it funny how you strive so hard to get time to yourself, when you finally look around to talk to someone, nobody is there? Don’t worry. We’re coming. Hold to your ideas. Hold to your opinions. Soon you will be able to share them with us. It is in your best interest to go with the flow when it comes to a group. Your happiness is tied in and by assuring your position with your wonderful networking skills, you will add to a sense of security. The Talmud says, “Every blade of grass has its angel that bends over it and whispers, ‘Grow, grow.’”

Virgo (Aug 23 – Sep 22) Week of Oct. 27, 2008

The garden of the tuileries in Paris.

The issue for you this week is about escape. Not everyday is a walk in the park. You have very strong opinions and several options you need to sift through. There is going to be a change, but it is going to come slowly (thankfully). You are afraid of losing control so you hide behind dramatic masks of aloofness and/or tantrums. Perhaps now is a good time to take stock of your surroundings, sit in your own personal garden and contemplate your next step. Conflicting elements need to be weighed and you must come to terms. What you think is a view that everyone shares is really all your own. Be realistic. If anyone can come out of the this unscathed, it is a keenly analytical Virgo whose versatility hallmarks their ability to get any job done. AND do it perfectly! Dixie Lee Ray once said, “A well tended garden is better than a neglected wood lot.”

Virgo (Aug 23 – Sep 22) Week of Oct. 13, 2008

A woman’s hat with streamers blown by the east wind.

The central issue for you this week is about trying a new direction. Your force and your essence is masked by your diligent survival instincts. It would be nice if you had a bit more clarity so you would know what you are stirring up. You cannot do it the same way as you have before. Change is imminent and it will touch you emotionally. Maybe it will even make you feel a little wind-blown. Trust in your ability to maneuver through this terrain. Put your windbreaker on and try again. You are going to need a guide and a compass. A little purity of thought can go a long way in correcting any difficulties you may encounter along the way. Aesop once said, “The little reed, bending to the force of the wind, soon stood upright again when the storm had passed over.”

Virgo (Aug 23 – Sep 22) Week of Oct. 6, 2008

An examination of initiates in the sanctuary of an occult brotherhood.

The issue for you this week is about being irresponsible. Your ego is getting in the way of your closest beliefs. You feel lonely and closed off and critical. Who’s fault is it? Yours? Someone else? You exert yourself as though you are a teacher of morals and true spirit, yet you are stuck in the past. Memories are just that: memories. The change that is happening now is slow and this is probably good. Let go of the past. There is an obstacle to harmony that you will not be able to surmount. However, since you know this….you cannot be defeated. Self-reliance will show you the way through an environment of misunderstanding. Adlai E. Stevenson once said, “I believe that if we really want human brotherhood to spread and increase until it makes life safe and sane, we must also be certain that there is no one true faith or path by which it may spread.”

Virgo (Aug 23 – Sep 22) Week of Sept. 28, 2008

Deep within the depths of the earth, new elements are being formed.

The central issue for you is inhibition. You are not available to everything and everyone right now. Something is being born. Your head is in a gestation. Buried away is your engagement and commitment until you have fully decided that you are behind everything you are doing. Consider success. Consider merging with what gives you power. Karl Marx once said, “Mankind always sets itself only such tasks as it can solve; since, looking at the matter more closely, we will always find that the task itself arises only when the material conditions necessary for its solution already exist or are at least in the process of formation.”
