Capricorn (Dec 22 – Jan 19) Week of July 6, 2009

A duck pond and its brood.

Focus on meaning. Behind everything there is something else. If this could be recognized…you and your milieu could be very fortunate. Seeing is believing but doing is what gets it done. The trouble is finding your center. Your power…your momentum is held back and hard to access because you cannot have what you want right now. Your head is in the future. Your spirit is strategic in its quest for the future. What will it take to get you what you want? Opportunity will not be lost on you! Your heart is in the right place and you have real substance. That’s all you need. Once your energies are tied into a collective effort you will be successful beyond your own capabilities. In other words, like the old proverb says, “Not the cry, but the flight of the wild duck, leads the flock to fly and follow.”

Capricorn (Dec 22 – Jan 19) Week of June 29, 2009

A black slave-girl demands her rights of her mistress.

Focus on the blank spaces between the end and the beginning. Exposure of things you have kept hidden will bring no place for you to hide this week. It will pass. Be aware of your surroundings and where you are going. Watch your steps and your responsibilities. A live and let live attitude is a good response to the agendas around you. You couldn’t be happier, yet you pull back. Authority and any form of dominance will be overturned and you will feel softer. You have to wait on your desires but your future looks free. You feel more flexible, inspired and creative. These times have the seeds of righteous change. Ramana Maharshi once said, “The degree of freedom from unwanted thoughts and the degree of concentration on a single thought are the measures to gauge spiritual progress.”

Capricorn (Dec 22 – Jan 19) Week of May 25, 2009

A lion-tamer rushes fearlessly into the circus arena.

Focus on caution this week. Perhaps you will be a little hasty in rushing forward. Some part of yourself is falling away. You are really over-extending yourself. Be careful who you may knock over in your transit. There is a whole lot of peace around you that you cannot enjoy because you are all about the business of your work. Direct confrontation this week brings bad fortune. You are vulnerable. A good thing to do would be to retreat quietly, switch gears and use encouragement to accomplish your aims. Johann Gottfried Von Herder once said, “Brave is the lion tamer, brave is the world subduer, but braver is the one who has subdued himself.”

Capricorn (Dec 22 – Jan 19) Week of May 18, 2009

A large diamond in the first stages of the cutting process.

Focus on unity. It can be easy to feel alone in uncut fashion. You really are a cut above the rest. The issue is flirtation. No matter if you feel confident or not you portray a strong exterior. Any changes are being made slowly and measured with great care. You will stand up for the way you feel and it will be for your benefit if you reach out and explore new ideas. Buddha once said, “We are shaped by our thoughts; we become what we think. When the mind is pure, joy follows like a shadow that never leaves.”

Capricorn (Dec 22 – Jan 19) Week of May 10, 2009

Two guardian angels bringing protection.

This week focus on temptation.  Sometimes when good meets bad it creates the perfect light for observation.  The issue is about waiting.  It doesn’t feel as though you are getting the full cooperation of your team.  These days its a little harder for you to get your focus with all that you are juggling.  You are cautious about your output, but you are feeling good about something.  Its like the heavens have been shining down on you.  Here’s an Irish blessing, “These things I warmly wish for you.  Someone to love, some work to do, A bit o’ sun, a bit o’ cheer, And a guardian angel always near.”

Capricorn (Dec 22 – Jan 19) Week of April 27, 2009

A Greek muse weighing new born twins in golden scales.

Focus on family. You have a difficult dichotomy to balance.  When faced with a decision it is far better to choose discipline over indulgence. There is much respect given to you for your character. The issues have to do with give and take. You step forward as something is coming your way. Attraction melds with opinions, responsibilities and community. Everyone is rooting for results but a firm footing is needed. Concentrate on your virtues. Marge Piercy once said, “My strength and my weakness are twins in the same womb.”

Capricorn (Dec 22 – Jan 19) Week of March 23, 2009

In a quite moment, a creative individual experiences the flow of inspiration.

Focus on what you are attracted to with consideration. You are ready to make a move, get closer, create healing…..but it feels like you don’t know everything you need to know. Take some quiet time and avoid impulses until more is brought to light. When you have a direction there will be work to do. Be flexible to the realities of your environment. Ella Fitzgerald once said, “Just don’t give up on trying to do what you really want to do. Where there is love and inspiration, I don’t think you can go wrong.”

Capricorn (Dec 22 – Jan 19) Week of March 16, 2009

A family tree.

It is best to simplify when the situation is not congruent with the times. You’ve got to bring your emotional levels down a notch. The issue has to do with energy output. There has been no follow-through and this is probably because there is very little understanding. A live and let live attitude will bring you into center in regard to what you think you are missing. Look towards enduring values and root expectations to get a firmer footing. Alfred Korzybski once said, “To ‘be’ means to be related.”

Capricorn (Dec 22 – Jan 19) Week of Feb. 2, 2009

A mother leads her small child step by step up the stairs.

Your best bet is to wait. You’ve been changing your mind back and forth, creating a troublesome situation. If you had changed at the beginning of this cycle it may have been better, but now you gotta wait for the whole thing to play out. The good thing is that you have enough grace to pull the whole thing off. You are gaining perspective. Drama cannot touch you right now and that is the issue. Not everyone wants to cooperate with this sentiment. So you hold your tongue, even though you have some great ideas. Your brain and your emotions are on overdrive trying to comprehend the best way to react to this situation. Its important to you to have some enjoyment in the teaching. Rudyard Kipling once said, “Never look backwards or you’ll fall down the stairs.”

Capricorn (Dec 22 – Jan 19) Week of Jan. 19, 2009

A violent storm in a canyon filled with expensive homes.

The issue here pertains to attraction. Currently, you do not feel well. Although others may seek your attention, it is really you that needs some nurturing. However, you flirt as if you have tons of energy. You can’t stop. Its as if by actively going after what you want (even though you’re too tired) you can somehow accrue the karma of gettin’ the lovin’ returned. Past situations have trained you to respond in a certain way, but this time it is not required. Do not dwell on old difficulties. Change your attitude to accommodate a new set of fortunes. Being cynical or opinionated will not help. Keep in mind what Ralph Waldo Emerson once said, “The wise man in the storm prays to God, not for safety from danger, but deliverance from fear.”

Capricorn (Dec 22 – Jan 19) Week of Oct. 27, 2008

An Easter promenade.

The issue for you this week is a far-reaching vision. This is fortunate for you. Even if you do not see it yet…. Even if you don’t want to accept it yet….. The ground is about to come out from underneath you. Cathartic and cleansing, you will be moving onward with a few less headaches. You have to realize that somethings just aren’t good for you. I know it feels overwhelming. Don’t tolerate a habit because you are too tired to stop. What if you have to go forward alone? You will be fine. Move on. I think you will be surprised what happens next….. Dale Carnegie once said, “The man who grasps an opportunity as it is paraded before him, nine times out of ten makes a success, but the man who makes his own opportunities is, barring an accident, a sure-fire success.”

Capricorn (Dec 22 – Jan 19) Week of Oct. 13, 2008

Mankind’s vast enduring effort to reach for knowledge transferable from generation to generation. Knowledge.

The issue for you this week is about loving yourself. You are dabbling in your passions and interested in forming a bond. What you tell others is for them, is really for your own subjective reasons. Your life has changed quite a bit, but its hard to realize because you are holding onto the old ways. I really believe that your intentions are good. Be sure to keep the lines of communication open. Be sincere. Allow others to help. And most of all, stay in touch with those in a higher position than you. You will be in a position of great power. Use it to your advantage but keep your principles on the up and up. Remember these points:

When the student is ready, the pupil will appear.
You teach what you most need to learn.
The more it takes to explain, the less you understand what you’re talking about.

Friedrich Nietzsche once said, “Every extension of knowledge arises from making the conscious the unconscious.”

Capricorn (Dec 22 – Jan 19) Week of Oct. 6, 2008

A woman drawing aside two dark curtains that closed the entrance to a sacred pathway.

The issue for you this week, Capricorn, is about grace. You don’t know what your supposed to do and you are held back from saying anything. Something is changing and you really want to slow it down or stop it from happening. Who can help you? You look for a way. Harmonize. The best way to get the answers you need is to take the path of least resistance. Someone once said, “If you love the sacred and despise the ordinary, you are still bobbing in the ocean of delusion.”
