I want to talk about the moon. A new moon is a time to start. Whatever is started at the new moon manifests by the full moon. I love this tool! How can you use it to your advantage? Well what do you want out of life? Let us say that your goal is to have a lot of jelly beans. If you start to accumulate jelly beans on the new moon, chances are by the full moon you will have acquired a lot. That sounds good, huh? There is a key though. Waxing is what the moon does as it grows bigger and waning is what the moon does as it grows smaller. Everything in life has a light side and a dark side. So, if you are not careful you may see the dark side of your jelly bean accumulation. Here’s how you can avoid disaster.
You have a bowl that you keep your beans in and at the new moon it is almost full. However, you decide you want more and by the full moon you are well over the bowl and spilling out. While the moon waxes you will experience jubiliation and elation for all the different colors and strange shapes. You will laugh at the amount you can fit into your mouth and the different colors your tongue turns. But universal law will make sure you visit the dark side. As the moon wanes you will experience the downside of how to store all these jelly beans. They won’t fit in your bowl anymore. The stickiness will be overwhelming and your tummy will be upset. Plus you will be gruuumpy, because you’ve had way too much sugar. So, how do you avoid all this?
Take a look around you when the new moon is in the sky. If you have too much, give some away. If you have none then start developing. The key word is developing. You need a good foundation and the right balance to get you to your goal smoothly. So, if you have too many jelly beans in the beginning, consider acquiring bowls or consider sharing.
Did you understand?
Here is another example with a practical application: your hair. If you are trying to grow your hair longer, the time to cut it is on the new moon or the three days around that date. If you have a short cut and don’t want your hair to grow fast then you want to cut it at the full moon. That will slow it down.
Any questions? Any comments. I will post more about the upcoming new moon that begins on Sunday, January 29th 2006 which also begin the year of the dog, the Chinese new year. Until then, I hope your wane isn’t getting you down. We’re almost there. Take care.
